Hi, my name is Allan Leisk and AutoEclectus is my project for making code-based generative art.

I have always been intrigued with the notion that code, predominately the tool of commerce and science, can also be used to achieve aesthetic ends.

My enquiry into using code as an artistic medium involves solving problems like: how can you make something organic in a purely digital form? Can something look both organic and obviously digital at the same time? How can code be used to convey an emotion or spark a response?

Through my coded creations, I try to find a connection between the digital and the organic world.
